Cleaning your house, your clothes and your car are some of the most important chores on your weekly routine. Cleaning the interior of your car is very important for both maintenance and value of the vehicle. If you get too much trash, dirt or debris on the dashboard or the floors, it can get in the way of your driving. If your windows are too dirty, the grime and dirt could prevent you from seeing an oncoming vehicle and cause a wreck, putting your safety and the safety of others in risk. It is also important for the appearance and value of your vehicle, plus having your car in top shape will make you look better when arriving at social situations and meetings. ;)
Just a simple bottle of detergent can make your life incredibly easy, though. All purpose cleaners work great for cars. They should be a staple in everyone’s car cleaning kit. The combination of cleaning agents on these detergents, and their ability to clean steel, glass, and other surfaces easily make all purpose cleaners a great addition to anyone’s cleaning supplies. Today we’re going to talk about 3 ways an all purpose cleaner can make your life easier when cleaning out your car interiors and exteriors.
1. They are great for cleaning dashboards.
Your dashboard is arguably the most important area of you car’s interior to keep clean! Whenever you are in your car, you are facing it (as are the other passengers). You are constantly coming into contact with the console buttons and looking at it to check your speed and other indicator lights. So how can you clean it with an all purpose cleaner? Easy! First, wipe the entire dashboard with a damp cloth. Next, apply your diluted all purpose cleaner both to the dashboard and to a clean microfiber cloth. Wipe all surfaces and before they dry up, rinse with a cloth damp with water. Dry with a clean non-abrasive cloth or with paper towels and you’re done!
2. They are perfect for cleaning glasses and mirrors.
Grimy, dirty glasses? Absolutely gross mirrors? Well, grab your all purpose cleaner bottle. By just damping the glass, spraying a little of the all purpose cleaner and then wiping it away, you’ll get rid of stains, dirt and hard to remove gunk. All purpose cleaners remove finger marks, stains, and splashed on bugs, too! Remember to lower your windows first! There may be dirt and grime on the top of those bad boys that you will want to get rid of.
3. Dirty rims? No problem!
Yes, it works on rims, too! First, you need to read the label on your all purpose cleaner, but most are formulated to work on steel and remove stains from steel surfaces. Therefore, they work perfectly well to clean the rims on your car. The process is the same as when cleaning your dashboard. First, dampen your rims with a little water. Next, spray all purpose cleaners on the rim you are washing and spray some on the brush that you regularly use to clean your rims. Then, scrub away all the dirt and stains! Finally rinse the rim with water and you’re done! You’ll see that in no time you will have cleaner rims, with almost no hassle at all!
Now that you know all these tips and tricks, what’s your excuse to have your car dirty and filthy? None? Then get to washing! Your car will thank you! (Not literally, though; cars can’t talk and have no feelings).
