It's true soap with no added foaming agents, so it makes a soft, creamy lather on skin rather than piles of bubbles. That's also why it won't make a bubble bath.

Yes, and it's best in a foaming pump: add 3 parts water first, then 1 part soap. Castile is thinner than most hand soaps, so straight from a regular pump it can drip or spurt.

Not in the same bottle. Acids break soap down into an oily, curdled mess. Use them as separate steps instead: wash with the soap, rinse, then follow with vinegar.

Totally normal, and it's still good soap! Natural ingredients respond to their surroundings, including changes in temperature. Some scents cloud sooner than others because every essential oil behaves a little differently. An opened carton clouds more easily too, as the soap slowly loses some of its water. To clear it up, pour what you need into a bottle and stand it in a bowl of warm (not boiling) water for a few minutes. It cleans just as well either way. A milky diluted mix is a different story: that's usually hard water (see below).

That's usually hard water: its minerals react with soap and can leave a dull film or turn a mix cloudy. Use a little more soap and rinse with warm water. For dishes, follow with a splash of diluted vinegar as a separate rinse. For hair, rinse out the soap, then pour on 1 tablespoon of apple cider vinegar mixed into a cup of water and rinse again.

Your carton prefers a dry spot! For shower use, pour some soap into a reusable bottle and keep the carton away from water. Once it's empty, recycle it according to your local guidelines.

Mix small batches and use them within 2 weeks, since watering soap down shortens its life. Keep the carton closed, somewhere cool and out of direct sun.

No. It lifts dirt, grease, and grime so they rinse away, but it doesn't disinfect or sanitize.

Unscented is the gentlest pick for little ones. We don't recommend Fresh Peppermint for children under 3: the mint can be too strong for them. Castile soap isn't tear-free, so keep it away from eyes, and rinse well with water if it gets in.
